Renée Marazon is an accomplished author, educator, and spiritual mentor deeply committed to the Catholic faith. She is a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, where she actively serves as a Eucharistic minister and Co-Chair of the Jeremiah Team, leading both the Charism and Prayer Team Ministries. Renée also coordinates the SKD Alpha Core Team and is a mentor for Southwest Florida Alpha USA. Renée is a council member of Pentecost Today USA and sits on the Formation Committee, delivering retreats, workshops, and missions across the U.S. and internationally via ZOOM. She consults with parishes on charism discernment and pastoral team development, fostering engagement through spiritual gifts. With over ten publications to her name, Renée's works include "Charisms of the Holy Spirit: Tools for the New Evangelization", "The Catholic Parent/Teacher Handbook of Child Growth, Development, & Learning", and "Delivering Prayer: A Matter of Wisdom, Discernment, and Obedience". Her writings emphasize the importance of understanding and utilizing spiritual gifts to further missionary work and personal faith journeys. Her extensive career in education is marked by her leadership at the Maritime Academy of Toledo, where she served as Superintendent, pioneering maritime training for underprivileged youth. Renée was also the CEO of The Maritime Academy of Toledo Foundation, enhancing the academy's reach through US Coast Guard-approved mariner courses. Earlier, Renée was instrumental in founding the teacher education program at Lourdes University, advocating a child-centered educational philosophy through "The Marazon System". This system emphasizes holistic child development across six domains and 96 target objectives. Her work extended to training roles with the US Air Force and consultations with organizations like Family Communications, Inc. (Mister Rogers' Neighborhood) and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Renée is a recipient of the North American Marine Environment Protection Education Association Award, recognizing her contributions to marine education. She is married to David, and together they have four children and eight grandchildren. Renée continues to inspire and educate, helping individuals to recognize and utilize their gifts in service to God and the community.
