Report Builder only returning first value

Greetings All--

I am using Report Builder based on a Power BI dataset. I have created a paginated report and pulled it into my PBI Desktop. It synchs with my existing slicers and works for the most part. I have 1 problem I am trying to solve. One of my slicers (Org) can have multiple Projects. As an example, Org "Matel" may have 5 projects. When I set up the Parameter for Org and Project in PBI Report Builder and select all projects associated with an Org, it only returns the values for the First Project, the others dont show unless I select them individually. Does anyone know how to fix this?

can you share a screenshot of your layout? what are you using to show "iterative" values? Matrix, List, Table?

Hi @Userpath77 ,

Please try below steps:

1. Verify Parameter Configuration: Ensure that your parameter in the Report Builder is correctly set up to accept multiple values. This involves checking the parameter properties and ensuring the "Allow multiple values" option is selected.

2. Adjust Dataset Query: If your parameter is correctly set up to accept multiple values, the next step is to examine your dataset query. Ensure that it's designed to handle multiple values correctly. For SQL-based data sources, this often involves using the IN clause in your WHERE statement to filter based on multiple values. For example:

WHERE ProjectName IN (@ProjectParameter)

Replace @ProjectParameter with the actual name of your parameter. This syntax allows for filtering based on multiple selected values.
