Hi
I'm setting up our BI solution under one azure subsscription - on this we don't have any power bi licences.
On our 2. subscription we all have a pro licence.
I have setup a lakehouse with a semantic model in fabric.
I have given access to myself on my 2. account - and from app.powerbi.com I can see the data:
But I can't from my desktop designer.
What do I need to do?
kind regards
hi @v-jialongy-msft
I have followd that guide.
On my fabric subscription (my .io ccount)
I have fabric (not trail) and my personal account is a pro account.
On my other subscription (my .com) I have a pro account - and no fabric.
On my .io i am workspace admin, and I have made my .com workspace admin with all rights.
.com is added to azure ad guest and everything is good so far.
On my .com at app.powerbi.com I can see what is shared with me. On my mobile phone app I can see that is shared with me.
So it seems like its only from desinger not retrieving what is acuatly avalible?
Thanks in advance,
Verify that the account you're using in Power BI Desktop has at least "Build" permissions to the semantic model. As per the documentation on Use Power BI in-place semantic model sharing (preview) to share semantic models with external users ... , external users need to have at least “Build” access to connect to and work with semantic models in their own tenant.
Best Regards,
Jayleny
