Hi People,
I am trying to get my organisation to stop blocking the Power point add in app in my organisation, i almost got the green light, when i was made aware, that any power point embeded with a power BI report shared, with a user whom does not have the power bi Addin, will get the static image of what the report last had emmbeded.
While i understand the logic of "If you cant get access then at least show somthing" thinking, From a data security perspective (even if the underlying data is not accessable) this could leak crown jewel dashboard overviews to outside a organisation, and as such this feature will remain disabled by and large in most organisations whom are concerened with data leakage.
Is there any way that instead of leaving behind the static image, that a option can be turned on etc so that it just comes up with a plug in error and no data image displayed? this would be far better fro ma security persepctive than current method.
Regards,
B
